For employers

Hire cybersecurity people who can actually do the work

A CV tells you where someone has been. A certificate tells you they attended. Neither tells you whether they can find the flaw. Nexix Academy gives your candidates a real environment to work in, and gives you the record of what they did in it.

The problem

Screening for security roles is expensive and unreliable

Not because hiring teams are careless, but because the signals available to them do not measure the thing they are hiring for.

CVs describe exposure, not ability

Listing a tool is not the same as being able to use it under time pressure on an unfamiliar system.

Technical interviews are costly

Every deep technical screen costs a senior engineer an hour, and different interviewers ask different things.

Course completion is not capability

A finished programme says a syllabus was covered. It does not say the person can perform the work.

Campus drives do not scale

Shortlisting a few hundred students in a day is manual, inconsistent and impossible to compare afterwards.

What we offer

Three ways to see real work

All three run in the same managed, isolated lab environment that universities and institutes already use for teaching. Nothing to install, on your side or theirs.

01 — Candidate skills assessment

Give every candidate the same real task

Instead of a multiple-choice test, a candidate gets a browser-based scenario and is asked to do something: enumerate a host, find and exploit a flaw, investigate an incident, or harden a service. Because every candidate works in an identical, standardised environment, two results actually mean the same thing.

Scenarios cover both offensive and defensive work, and can be tuned to the role and seniority you are hiring for.

Discuss an assessment

The managed lab environment candidates work in. Assessment scenarios are configured per engagement — tell us the role and we will scope the task and time box.

What a candidate gets

  • A managed attacker desktop Launched in the browser, no VM to download or configure.
  • A target environment Isolated and sandboxed, reset between candidates.
  • A defined task The same brief and the same starting state for everyone.
  • A time box Set by you, so results are comparable.
02 — Recruitment CTFs

Turn a hiring drive into an event people want to enter

A capture-the-flag competition is a screening funnel that candidates opt into enthusiastically. We host the platform, build the challenges, run the live scoreboard and provide support throughout, branded as your event.

Afterwards you get per-participant solve data: who solved what, in what order and how long it took. That is your shortlist, evidenced.

See CTF-as-a-Service

What we run for you

  • Hosting and infrastructure Cloud-hosted, so nothing runs on your network.
  • Custom challenges Built to your roles and difficulty level.
  • Live scoreboard and support Staffed for the duration of the event.
  • Post-event reporting Solve rates and per-participant breakdowns.
03 — Verified skill reports

Evidence you can put in a hiring decision

Every assessment and event produces a per-candidate record of what was actually completed. It is verified in the narrow, honest sense that matters: the work was performed inside our environment and logged there, rather than self-reported.

Certificates are available for both assessments and events, which candidates tend to value and which makes participation easier to sell.

Ask about reporting

What the report shows

  • Tasks completed Which objectives were reached, and which were not.
  • Time taken How long the candidate spent getting there.
  • Environment context The scenario and starting state they were given.
  • Certificate Issued for the assessment or event.
How it works

Four steps, no infrastructure on your side

1

Tell us the role

The position, the seniority and what a good hire needs to be able to do on day one.

2

We build the scenario

We select from published modules or build a target environment to match the role.

3

Candidates perform

They work in the browser, in an isolated environment, within the time box you set.

4

You get the evidence

Per-candidate reports and certificates, in a form you can compare side by side.

To be clear about what this is not: we do not maintain a candidate database and we do not source or supply people. You bring the candidates, whether from your own pipeline, a campus drive or an open call. We give them somewhere real to demonstrate skill, and give you the record. If you want a partner institution's cohort in front of you, that is a conversation we are happy to help broker, but it is not a product we sell.

The other side

The same environment your future hires trained in

Universities, colleges and private institutes across India use Nexix Academy to run practical cybersecurity training: browser-based labs, cohort management, syllabus mapping and assessment. When you assess a candidate here, you are assessing them in an environment built for the way this work is actually taught.

FAQ

Questions hiring teams actually ask

Do you provide candidates?

No. We do not run a talent pool, a candidate database or a sourcing service. We assess the candidates you bring, and we run events that help you attract and shortlist them. If you need sourcing, you will need a recruitment partner as well as us.

What roles and skill levels can you assess?

Offensive and defensive security roles across the range from graduate and entry level up to experienced practitioners. Scenarios are selected or built for the specific role, so tell us the position and we will scope it.

How long does an assessment take?

You set the time box. Short screens of an hour or two work well for early-stage filtering; deeper scenarios suit final-round assessment. The environment itself launches in the browser in moments.

Does anyone need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in the browser on our managed cloud infrastructure, for you and for the candidate. It is built to work on modest connections, which matters for campus and remote candidates.

Can the assessment or event be branded as ours?

Yes. Recruitment CTFs are fully branded as your event. Tell us what you need in the enquiry and we will confirm the specifics in the proposal.

How do we get the results?

As a per-candidate report of what was completed, plus certificates where relevant. For CTF events you also get solve-rate reporting across all participants.

What does it cost?

Assessment pricing depends on the role, the scenario and the number of candidates, so it is quoted per engagement. Recruitment CTF events follow our CTF-as-a-Service pricing. Send us an enquiry and we will come back with a proposal.
